Are you ignoring your intuition?
Everyone has intuition, the animal kingdom relies on it and some people live their lives by it, whilst others ignore it, but why is it important?
Intuition is an ability to understand or know something without needing to think about it or use reason to discover it, or a feeling that shows this ability.
Cambridge English Dictionary
When we are born, we are pure, we are innocent, we know nothing, we have experienced nothing and we only focus on basic wants and needs, the need for food, milk and also want for love and attention from our parents or family around us. As we grow older our environment shapes and influences us. Some experiences can be positive and hugely empowering and others can be negative and diminishing. But thats what makes us who we are and how we see the world. We start to reason everything, we form perceptions and judgements and beliefs as we grow older and the people we meet along the way can influence what that looks like or how they manifest. But whilst we listen to reason and use it as a decision maker, we start to ignore that inner voice, the real version of ourselves, the part that is still true and pure and innocent. That part of us that instinctively knows what is best for us, without logic or reason. Our soul and our intuition.
From experience, when we do that, we start to become what people want us to be. The version of ourselves influenced by others, ignoring who we actually are by turning our back on authenticity. How this manifests is the feeling that despite all the good that you have in your life or your achievements, it still feels like something is missing.
This is your intuition calling. When you start to feel unfulfilled, not sure what your purpose is or you have lost your way, its your gut giving you a wake up call. Listen to it, spend time with it, really start to learn and grow and develop it. Its you, its your inner soul and it can help you to really achieve amazing things, it can help you to just be.
Over the past couple of years I have done exactly that, I made a decision to start to listen to my intuition and live by it. In work and in life yes there have been some ups and downs but my gut, my intuition has pulled me through. It kept me focused and it kept me going when others may have clouded my vision, it made me make the right decisions and it kept me true to self.
So why am I telling you all of this? Because your intuition is unique to you, its very special and it just needs your attention once in a while. Don’t ignore it, look after it, love and trust it and it will guide you in the right way. It will then grow and develop to complete who you are so that things start to fall into place. Its the single most extraordinary gift that we as a human race have so why would we want to ignore it. So don’t just take my word for it, try it, let your next decision be guided by intuition whatever that may be and let me know how its working out for you
